Kettlebell Training for Women : What Weight to Buy for Swings?



I’ve spoken several times lately about purchasing two of the same weights and one heavier bell . But dont make the heavy bell the amount of the combined doubles.

These are two 10 kg weights making a 20 kg double swing that can be between the legs, outside of the legs or even different grips [thumbs forward, 45 degree or even thumbs backward] depending on. your biomechanics and lever lengths.

Competition kettlebells are meant for ONE HAND ON AND IN THE BELL HANDLE.

Unless you are very small, this will work .

instead of buying a light weight [which will do very little once you understand form] or a weight that is too heavy to do anything but deadlift of swing, purchase two 6, 8 or 10 kg bells.

This will allow you to press, double press, clean, double clean, TGU, rack squat, goblet squat and double versions of those, along with nearly every kettlebell exercise you can think of. You also have a 12, 16 or 20kg combo to deadlift , double swing [as seen in video] without purchasing a bell heavy enough to be used for deadlifts and swings but pretty much nothing else .
